Manie Smith

Manie is a registered pharmacist and member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. He qualified in South Africa in 1985 from the University of North West. Manie spent 17 years in the community setting, where he both managed and co-owned pharmacies. At the end of 2002, Manie and his family moved to Australia to settle. After completing the re-registration process, he spent a few years working as a pharmacist in a public hospital in Perth. Manie plans to further his studies in the quality use of medicines in the elderly, has has a keen interest in other levels of geriatric medicine.
