Where can a degree in Pharmacy take me?

Employment Prospects: Findings from recent studies consistently show that there is a shortage of pharmacists in Australia and world-wide as well as an ever growing diversity in employment opportunities.

What can I do with my Pharmacy degree?

Pharmacists are health professionals who combine the art and science of pharmacy in their daily occupation. Traditionally they played the role of filling a request for medicines from a prescribing health care provider in the form of a prescription and dispense the medication to the patient with instructions on the proper use and adverse effects of that medication. Modern day Pharmacists participate in disease state management, optimize and monitor drug therapy and ensure the safe and effective use of medication.

Pharmacy students at Murdoch University enjoy a wide variety of clinical experience in both hospitals and community settings prior to graduation.
Employment opportunities include:

  • Community Pharmacy
