Admission Requirements: Prerequisite subjects are Chemistry 3A, 3B and Mathematics 3c, 3D or TEE equivalent. It would be highly desirable for you to have completed secondary Biology or Human Biology or TEE equivalent.
To comply with professional accreditation requirements, students for whom English is not their first language, and all International students, must achieve an overall band score of at least 7.5 at the Academic level of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components of the test.
Special Requirements: National Police Clearance is required prior to enrollment in the Bachelor of Pharmacy course.
Domestic students (Australian citizens, permanent residents, permanent humanitarian visa holders, and NZ citizens): National Police Clearance can obtained from your local post office. International students: you are required to provide Police Clearance from your home country.
A current First Aid Certificate is advisable and will be required prior to registration as a pharmacist.

Professional Recognition: For registration as a pharmacist in Western Australia you are required to undertake 2500 hours of supervised pharmacy employment; 500 hours can be completed prior to graduation and 2000 hours after graduation. Other Australian states have similar requirements.
2000 hours are undertaken in the year following successful completion of the Pharmacy course. The Pharmaceutical Council of WA presents a series of seminars and workshops during this period. At the completion of the 2000 hours the Pharmaceutical Council of WA provides an oral exam which must be passed in order to be able to register as a Pharmacist. While finding a 2000 hour position is your responsibility, we will provide assistance.
